• I wore out the old one I had, it was from the 1970's, so I'd say I got my monies worth. This thing is like a whole new ballgame. I love it, and so does everyone who has had some coffee out of it. It seems to work better than anything I have had before, seems to keep the coffee hot without it getting bitter and is a breeze to clean. It looks pretty slick too, which I think if you are going to have one of these things, it should at least do that too. Looking at getting a second one just for hot water.
• There is a water gauge that shows the min. and max. amount of water level, but you need to have it well lighted to see the water. I do like that they have a boil dry protection which prevents boil dry accidents. If the water is below certain low level, it will turn itself off and it takes urn up to 10 mins back to work after the temp cools down. It is very easy to use and I like that it has a detachable plate (plastic) that can be used to catch drips from coffee users, keeping the area around the coffee maker clean. This will definitely be used for large family gatherings, weddings, and church picnics. Would recommend!
• Whether you are a caterer, own a restaurant, have large family gatherings, or just consume a really unhealthy amount of coffee each day, this coffee urn is what you need! It will make and keep warm a huge volume of coffee! It looks very nice with the matte black finish and heats quickly. Overall, it's a great product and I can highly recommend it!
