not only would this make a fine drying rack, I am using it to hold and display my beautiful hand-made plates on my counter.

Was a little difficult to open once out of the box but looks good on my kitchen counter.

We have been searching for a replacement bamboo dish rack and this unit is by far the best! Others that we have found were much smaller, about 15" - 17" in length. This one is a full 20" in length. In addition, the spaces between the slats are adequate to fit standard dishes. Others that we have tried were too narrow and our dishes would not fit. This is great product.
