I love the dishes. The outside is lovely. They are heavy duty and microwave and dishwasher safe. They clean up nice. Very happy with them

Very beautiful set and I do recommend it with some caveats. These do not feel like stoneware- they feel more like ceramic and sound like ceramic. They lack the weightiness of good quality stoneware- but, what do I expect for dishes that cost just over a hundred dollars (open box was just under 73). These are not your, thicker, good quality stoneware. Most stoneware will have the word “STONEWARE” on bottom- these don’t. I had to double check these dishes on Wayfair and Birchlane to make certain that they are, in fact, stoneware. I love the colors and overall design so I don’t think I would return even if I could. I wish the set came with dessert plates or at least were available to purchase separately…even a choice between the pastasalad bowls and the dessert plates would be great. One bowl arrived broken. I bought two sets at the Open Box Price. I deducted one star because the plates do not have the weightiness of quality stoneware, and they feel a bit fragile, thus, I question the durability of these dishes. I will update this review if durability is called into question. I thought about deducting a second star for the packaging. Bubble wrap, andor styrofoam popcorn added last in addition to the folded cardboard along the sides and top of the box would prevent the breakage so many have reported. Aesthetically, this set is quite beautiful and I love it! I err’d on the side of caution and washed these on GENTLE cycle in my dishwasher prior to using and they held up great. In addition, there was no color fading as another reviewing had posted. Some of the blue detail does vary ever so slightly (I had to really scrutinize to see any difference) on some of the dishes, however, I love this because the variation gives the set a “hand painted” look.

Disappointing. Opened box to find 1 bowl broken. Dinnerware is not up to Pfaltzgraff’s usual standards. It does not have the weight of Stoneware. It is expensive and the value isn’t there. Returning for refund.
