BLACK+DECKER Crisp N Bake Air Fry 4-Slice Toaster Oven, Grey, TO1785SG

After 15 years, my old toaster died and I couldn't believe how hard it was to find just a simple toaster to replace it! Partly because I was shopping during COVID, I guess, and stocks were low in all the stores, but even online all I could find were tricked out monstrosities that featured a dozen too many functions and took up all my counter space. Finally found this one. It's still a little larger than I wanted, but it's attractive, reasonably sized, sturdy, and works well so far (I've had it for less than a year). I wasn't looking for an air frier, but I have used it a couple times and it works well. Mostly though, it toasts well -- and that's all I'd wanted. Has a roomy interior, good-sized glass door so I can see what's going on in there, and toasts pretty evenly. Also cooks pot pies and French bread pizzas well. Sometimes I find it hard to read the labels on the knobs, but overall I'm pleased with this purchase.

This toaster oven is the right size for under cabinet placement. It goes well with my stainless steel appliances and has the added bonus of an air fryer setting. I gave it 4 stars since the glass door doesn’t have a spring and can fall down when opening. Everything else is great.

Arrived damaged. You would be hard pressed to toast four slices of bread, nor does it toast evenly. Definitely not good for air frying. It takes double the time indicated, the smokes like crazy. Have tried to return it several times; now Wayfair is not responding at all. Very disappointed. Lesson learned.

Looks great in my kitchen. Nice size. Works well. Easy to clean. Only surprise was that the glass door flops down fast when you open it; a spring or a little tension on the door would help to prevent banging the counter.
