while lacking the heft and smooth edges of a truly fine piece to of flatware, this little spoon is solid and not at all cheep looking. it is smaller than a typical teaspoon but not as small as a demitasse spoon. the size is perfect for yogurt, ice cream or dishing up cat food from a can. the one drawback is that the etched information about the manufacturer is on the back of bowl and not on the handle which is usual. i find that it scratches my tongue and detracts from the experience of smooth creamy foods. Pros: nice size Cons: scratches my mouth
