I love, beautiful plates, bowls, platters, etc., and have a weakness for them as far as purchasing ones that I really like and think are pretty. The dinnerware pieces that I have now were picked by my husband and I many years ago, made by Sango. They are nice and very neutral. I will have to say they have been extremely good dishes but are now beginning to show some scratches. I know the dishes that I ordered are not going to be my husband‘s taste at all and I was right, they aren’t but, I sometimes will host a couple of friends over for lunch and they will be perfect in that setting. They are beautiful dishes. I think the one thing that drew me to them were the pedestal mugs. I love pedestal glassware, stoneware, etc. and the small bowls are pedestal as well. At first, I was wanting them to be a solid white, but when I opened the box and saw them, I was just as happy with them being a light cream and when I put them up to my serving pieces, they went very nicely with them. There is so much detailed etching that makes them look very elegant. There was no scratch resistance mentioned in the specifications but chip resistance was. These are beautiful pieces and I recommend them.
