What a fantastic kitchen gadget for anyone who loves to cook! I thought I owned every kitchen tool imaginable, but I didn't have a nutmeg grinder. I'm a big fan of the Cole & Mason brand and have used several of their salt and pepper shaker sets for years, so I was excited to try this. Freshly ground nutmeg is so much better than store-bought pre-ground nutmeg, especially in cream sauces and baked goods. Before getting this, I was using a rasp, which often led to scraped knuckles or caught fingernails whenever the nutmeg slipped. This grinder completely solves that problem. You simply fill it with whole nutmegs, lift the handle to position one against the blade, and turn. It produces a perfect, fine grate every time. It’s well-made, easy to use, and a wonderful addition to any kitchen! I'm so glad I got this before the holidays...I'm going to be using it a lot for pumpkin pie and in my mac & cheese sauce!

I find the handle kind of short and small. I have big hands so Id like a longer handle or, perhaps, a knob instead of a lever. This seems so great so far. It grinds the nutmeg well. I’ve tried some in some coffee and it was nice. Excited to use it in lots of autumn and winter baking recipes. I’m curious if it will also grind cardamom seed pods and I might try that.

After grating nutmeg by hand for literally forever this is a nice improvement. It does what it says it will. I hope it lasts for a while, its efficient and it looks nice on my counter. The grinder also acts as storage.

I really liked the idea of having this tool, especially for those who bake! I used a grader before and my skin went with it! Ouch! This had been a blessing! Nutmeg, cinnamon, pepper, can easily be used! This is a must!
