****Update**** First review remains below, unchanged. Sadly, I dropped a star. So, this does preserve wine marvelously! --- however, the needle is quite fragile. My husband does not have the most precise fine motor skills, and sometimes *tends* to force things. He has bent and broken 2 needles now. And they are not an inexpensive replacement. I will say though, that I have been able to keep a nice bottle of vermouth for martinis in the fridge for several months now, and the flavor is still perfect as the day it was opened. If you like martinis, you probably know that even the tiniest splash of cheap or spoiled vermouth really ruins the drink. * * * Original review... This is a really great tool! We dont often buy wine to save and drink, but it is great to have to opportunity to have a glass and save it. The packaging is beautiful, it would make an excellent gift! Both the use and assembly are simple and practical. Cant say I have gone back to the wine yet, but if it doesnt keep for a few months, I will be sure to update. This is too pricey an item to buy if it doesnt work. BONUS **It does aerate the wine very well, making a lovely pour without the breathing time.

A bit of an impractical device for the list price but would be a good gift for someone who can afford to have expensive wines lying around - the argon canisters are pretty small and probably would need replaced pretty often. The device itself seems to be well engineered and well packaged.

Used this nice tool last weekend while we had guests over. It was easy to use and we were able to tap into a nice bottle of wine without un-corking the whole thing. It was nice to not have to commit to a whole bottle and just enjoy a glass at a time. Would recommend this product for wine lovers

I am so excited to get this! I used the Coravin at a friends house and it was sooo simple to use. I am so glad I don't have to open a bottle of wine anymore or worry about a bottle tasting "funny" at a later date. This will be great to be able to have a few different bottles "tapped" and be able to drink them according to mood or compatibility with food and not be concerned about thinking I should finish a bottle before trying another one.

This is my second one of these and it is awesome! You want red wine your friends want white wine.....no problem use Coravin. It really does work, reseals and wine stays as fresh as the first glass. It is very well made and will impress your friends.

Wow! Im super excited to try this out. they claim you can tap into your favorite bottle of wine, serve yourself ONE glass and the wine will still be fresh for the next day... next week ... NEXT YEAR! I dont drink much wine, and I hate to have good wine go to waste when I dont have friends to share it with. The system comes with a protective cloth bottle sleeve, three argon canisters, two screw on caps, the Coravin system (mine came in Candy Apple Red because I love color), and a black protector carrying case. I understand that theres some limitations. like it doesnt work with old-brittle cork, rubber-imitation cork, or sparkling wine. Also remember to prime the gas injector with argon gas before you tap into the wine, or you will tap in with oxygen (defeating the purpose) - theres YouTube videos that shows you how when where and why to use this system . Honestly I cant wait to try this out. It will be a while before I get to see how well it really works - I doubt that Ill be waiting for a whole year though.

This item is AMAZING! I was a little nervous when I ordered it because I was wondering if I would understand how to use it properly. It is SO EASY to use and the instructions make it that way! What a relief! There has been times where I just needed to pour one glass of wine but I didn't want to open a new bottle for that. This gives me the ability to do that now. I don't even think twice. This really is the coolest thing ever! The quality is top notch and I love the carrying case for it. Very high quality. Buy this, you won't regret it!

This thing is awesome. Ive wanted one every since I saw a bartender use one at our go to wine bar. The piano black with silver accents is classy, and the quilt details on the device and the bag make it feel top quality. The 3 air canisters good for 15 glasses each, which is a great start. And the 2 screw caps are a nice addition for new seals. It was really easy to use and even has cut out instructions on the box with more details in the manual. It was faster than my electric corkscrew. I dont know how it compares to other models, but its slim, sleek, and simple. I dont drink a lot often, so this will help keep from spoiling half bottles of wine!

I think this product is ingenious. I upgraded to this model, six. It is sleek and comes with 3 cartridges. I chose the silver. It is amazing how well it works. We have had a Coravin preserve wines for 3 months. I am happy with the look of this model. Worth every penny!
