Using a wok on an electric stove has resulted in fires. Twice. Burned up my two aluminum and steel ones. This one has not caught fire so that's a plus. The heat is distributed evenly and everything cooks well without burning. Or catching fire.

I did not receive the wok in the picture I received something else. By the time you read this review maybe they will have changed the picture, I hope so. As such read it with that in mind. The wok in the picture when I bought it first was good. I wanted a second one a while later and tried to buy again. This time they did not deliver the wok in the picture. The wok I received last time I ordered this was when compared to the original as pictured model smaller in diameter, shorter, had a smaller outer base to contact the element less effectively and since the base was also lower they had to flatten the bowl inside instead of keeping a subtle smooth inner curve into the higher base of the original that was able to collect and pool oil or water in the center for more efficient cooking. Also the handles were different, larger and more rectangular, less round. When you buy an item based on the picture you deserve to receive what is pictured. Wayfair was not helpful, was slow to get back to me and demanded a return and I notice now they are charging a rather hefty fee for returns through their automated system including in cases like this where it is obviously their fault. I even checked with customer service before I ordered if I would receive exactly as pictured because it was out of stock elsewhere. They said yes they had the one in the picture still in stock, not something else. This is their mistake as well and they refuse to make proper amends. I never received the item I ordered. What I got was "unsolicited goods" which I do not have to pay for or return and can keep or dispose of. This is not an agreeable substitute this is a scam until they update the photo and let people know what it is they are really going to get. Make sure you get what you paid for or get your money back and do not waste your time with returns unless you want to. Give it to charity.
