I bought this to grind meat at home for burgers and meatballs, and to experiment with homemade sausage. It’s been a great way to control the quality and freshness of the meat I’m cooking with, and also get better quality ground meats by doing it yourself at home. Overall, the grinder is very straightforward to use. Assembly is simple, and once everything is set up it's pretty intuitive. The motor feels powerful enough for home cooking and grinds meat quickly when it’s cut into small pieces and slightly chilled. I also appreciated the reverse function, which helps clear any small clogs and keeps things moving smoothly. According to the specs, the grinder can process up to about 3 pounds of meat per minute, which is more than enough for us. What I liked most is how easy it is to get consistent results. The included plates let you choose different grind sizes, and the sausage attachment is a nice bonus if you want to try making your own sausages. Cleaning is also fairly manageable since the parts come apart easily. One thing I would mention for other shoppers is that it works best if the meat is trimmed and cut into smaller pieces before grinding. Also, like most appliances of this type, it does take up a bit of storage space. Overall, I’m happy with it. For home cooks who want to grind their own meat and occasionally make sausage, it’s a solid and easy-to-use option.

I purchased the Cuisinart Electric Meat Grinder to make homemade sausages, which is a yearly tradition in my family. We’ve always used a very old manual grinder, so switching to an electric model was a completely new experience for us. Assembly was straightforward and the instructions were easy to follow. Once we got started, the grinder handled our pork and beef mixture well, especially when the meat was trimmed and cut into smaller pieces. The different grinding plates gave us good control over texture, and the sausage attachments made the stuffing process much faster and less physically demanding than our old hand crank model. It definitely saved us time and effort. What I liked most was how consistent the grind was and how much easier it made the overall process compared to doing everything manually. It felt sturdy and stable on the counter while in use. For constructive feedback, I would say it performs best when the meat is properly prepped and not overly fatty. If pieces are too large or fatty, it can slow down slightly. Taking a bit of extra time to prep the meat makes a noticeable difference. Overall, this was a great upgrade for our family tradition. It made sausage making more efficient while still keeping the experience fun and hands-on. I would recommend it for home cooks who want to grind their own meat without the effort of a manual grinder.

This was the first time using a meat grinder and the process was pretty straightforward, I ground beef and pork for meatballs. The assembly was fairly easy (once I figured it out) and I was able to get started quickly. As recommended, I cut the meat up and put it in the freezer for a few hours which made the grinding easier. The beef came through quickly but the pork had more fat and got a bit tangled in the cutting plate, I had to dismantle it to clear it out which was kind of a messy process, the reverse button didn't help with a tangle. I first used the course plate then ground the meat again using the meduim plate, the second grind went faster but the bits of meat seemed to fly everywhere as I pulled out the pusher. I appreciate that the parts are all made of stainless steel but was disappointed to see that they are not dishwasher safe. The pusher is plastic and rounded at the end so you aren't able to scrape the meat off the sides of the feeder tube. Overall, a good experience but a slightly messy one.

This grinder was intuitive to assemble and use - great for a first-timer! I started off with a simple sirloin/pork shoulder mix for hamburgers, and I'm really looking forward to trying the sausage attachment next. Clean-up was also nice and easy.

A very good and useful appliance. Well done by cuisinart. Smart and simple design, not too large, cuts and grinds meat effortlessly. Recommended! The only issue (for not giving 5 star) is - storage. One needs quite a large space to store this useful piece.
