Love this portable induction buddy burner! I ordered it as a transition tool to experiment with induction cooking prior to renovating a small galley style kitchen. I have had a very painful experience (should have bought from Wayfair in the 1st place....my deepest apologies) with purchasing a freestanding gas range, hating it because of the heat vent on front of door and cheap design of broiler "drawer" that does not pull out. It cannot be returned to either store or manufacturer. Since I know of no place to try appliances before purchase, I devised a plan to "try" induction cooking this way,,, so far so good with only complaint being, difficult to translate voltage (which the display shows when decreasing or increasing the heat) to degrees while cooking. It does boil water very quickly, and responds to temperature change quickly (which is the reason I love gas), but is difficult to turn low enough for a true simmer.
