Couteau à pain avec planche à pain en bambou French Home Laguiole

I ordered this for the cutting board and was not expecting to receive such a great knife! This knife slices my crusty sourdough bread easier than my electric knife. I’m very happy with the cutting board too. The crumb tray is great and removes easily for cleaning. You can turn over the board to use as a regular cutting surface. Couldn’t be more pleased with this set!

Overall, I’m happy with this purchase. I see these cutting boards in France whenever I go, but I haven’t seen them (especially at this price) at home. The knife is nice and heavy and the board is a good size. Removing the lid of the board could be easier, but it works fine. I am rating it down because the knife has the Laguiole logo, but I don’t believe this is authentic Laguiole as the brand is “French Home”.

Love this set. I ordered this for the knife which is so pretty and works great. The bread board is kind of cool, up here in Maine a lot of the homemade bakery breads come unsliced, so I thought I’d see how this works and it does enable you to slice a straight piece of bread. The knife works well for tomatoes too!
