Beautiful dishes!

I bought the 8 original dinner dishes at Home Goods last year but wanted 8 more and was happy when I found them on Wayfair.

Wonderful set! It arrived quickly and with no broken pieces. They are lightweight but still hefty enough that I'm not super worried about them breaking with everyday use - they feel just sliiiightly thicker/heavier than Corelle. Love that these don't come with cups or saucers so that I can mix & match with fun ones I already have.

This is the third set of white Gibson I have purchased and loved (from Wayfair) over ten years. This set is real translucent china and it replaces a similar set called Gibson Home ( still available) made from porcelain. After ten years of daily use, the Home set began to show unsightly marks. Like the old set, the new set is attractive. It comes with pasta bowls (the new thing). The Home set came with dessert bowls, which I kept. I am withholding a star because of style, not quality. These dishes are bigger, bigger, bigger than their predecessors. The dishwasher shelf needed to be rearranged to accommodate them. They weigh more. And, all these larger dishes encourage us to eat more. One more thing, the dishwasher has worn the shine of this china.

Beautiful set but one bowl was chipped. Hopefully Wayfair will replace it! .

I love my new dishes!! They are beautiful and practical. I love having pastasalad bowls as well as cereal bowls. They are a great weight- not heavy like stoneware but not cheap feeling. They can be casual or dressed up for a nice dinner.

Beautiful and elegant

I love the design of these plates; simple and elegant. Thought the finish would be durable enough for everyday use. Unfortunately, if you do not immediately wash these plates or even pre-wash them, stains can form on the porcelain. We left ours in the dishwasher for a few days (even after a light rinse before loading) and came home to mold on the plates, figured we would just run the machine and have no issues. Mold stains remained and I had to bleach the plates in order to remove the stains. Picture below is of a plate removed from wash in the dishwasher loaded the night before. You cannot rub these smudges out, only bleach will remove. Durability needs improvement. The coating on these plates is too porous
