Nice set!

Bought a couple sets. While washing before putting them away in cupboard noticed several pieces had blemishes. Rough edge on one of the bowls, rough circular edge in center of large plate, glaze on backside of one plate was missing.

Sturdy and pretty for an Air B&B.

Feels way more expensive than it is. Neutral color and durable quality. Highly recommend!

Arrived today, one day early. Quadruple Packed: Items packed in small boxes with carboard between them, place in side a gibson display box, inside a gibson carboard shipping box, and inside a Wayfair shipping box with additional bubble wrap. The finish is bright white, no marks or defects. Gibson printing on the base is readable. The Dinner Plates and Side (salad, desert) Plates are perfect size. The large bowls are appropriate for salads, cereal, or soup, though a bit too small for pasta dishes. (Order pasta dishes separately.) The small bowls are too small for salad bowls but perfect for dessert (ice cream) service, or use for seafood shells, or dipping in butter. They have a nice weight, and feel, though I'm a mature adult, and I have generally used rather fine china both for daily service and guests once our children were grown. So you might want a thicker set if you have young children, are clumsy with dishware (as many of us are), or have a spouse that is reckless loading the dishwasher. ;) Now, I'm educated in the fine arts, and have run a large marketing organization with a very large design staff around the world. And I'm quite sensitive to the aesthetics. I have no idea how many white porcelain sets I reviewed - even much more expensive (these are oddly inexpensive) - and I still chose this one for its clean lines. One of the problems we face as offshoring has affected american and continental industries (though industry is returning now at breakneck speed), is that most service ware is designed and produced in Asia and for rice based diets - hence rice bowls offered as soup bowls, which makes no sense at all. ;) So this design is more accomodating western diets and western styles. Which is sort of warm and fuzzy. ;) Very happy with Wayfair and this purchase.
