Got to admit took me a while to decide on an electric can opener. Used a hand crank manual one for over 20 years that removed the entire lid with no sharp edges. It's to the point my hands cannot handle the cranking action. I found this one that has no sharp edges just like the manual one. I am so glad to have purchased it. So far loving it
