The kettle is flawlessly finished, and has an encapsulated aluminum base that boils water incredible fast on an induction range. Pouring boiling water when the kettle is half-full needs to be done slowly, as it can otherwise surge out onto the countertop. 1.5-2q capacity would be ideal, but it heats so quickly it's not a huge concern to re-fill it as needed. If the 18/10 stainless is of the same quality as my other cookware, it will never rust. This product exceeded my expectations. Well done Hutch!

This kettle is eyecatching awesome. So beautiful, and I love the custom handle mitt that comes with it. It loos really sharp, although yet to use.... so we will see what happens and how it wears. The basket has very fine holes so I am hoping my coffee is coarse enough it doesnt go through. Definately need a coarse coffee or powder I suppose if ur making egyptian etc. Think my mother will love it when she comes to do her tea. I paid $90 Canadian for it. Pricey still but I wouldnt give it back.

Be careful when pouring, wait some time until after boiling.
