Simple, robust but elegant. I'll combine these with more decorated plates. I have not used them so no idea if silverware will leave scratches -but then, with a mat finish that is always the risk. Wayfair did an excellent job with packaging - it was like a Russian doll!

Being very good quality dishes, they have a lot of elegance and the color is beautiful, I love them.

The texture is a smooth matte black and feels durable. I wish the plates were a bit bigger but will be using them in my rotation in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These plates are heavy, and thick! It definitely serve their purpose and make excellent salad plates. I have been looking for these type of salad place for quite some time and I really enjoy the way the lip of the plate goes up.
