Despite being a simple piece of plastic, the tamper makes a big difference when the blender just can't seem to get a bite on the food in the jar. In my opinion, I think it should be included as a standard accessory with any new blender/jar. Note that this may not work as well in taller jars; I'm using it specifically with the 48oz glass jar.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bouth this and I love it. Also, I love my KitchenAid blender better than the other expensive ones out there. Simply love KitchenAid appliances.

Received Personal Blender Jar without blade attachment shown in description photos. Not happy:/

It doesn't come with the blender sttachment, only the bottle. The pictures show all of it.
