This mixer is a gift for someone who does a lot of baking. She needed a big heavy duty mixer for daily bread making and baking and this is the same mixer I have. Kitchen Aid makes wonderful mixers, I bought my first one in the early 80’s and used it until it finally croaked. I have 2 Kitchen Aid’s myself and have bought them for my son and daughter too. Way fair had just what I needed and in the right color. Thank you

Love it, it is a bit slower to start than the smaller one I have but love the size of this one

I don’t know how I survived this long without such an amazing mixer! I’m so thankful for this one, and its size! We love it! It works so good, and saves my arms from stirring through thick cookie dough! This was my Christmas gift, and I couldn’t have asked for anything better!

KitchenAid Professional 600 About 10 years ago, after saving up, I bought my very first KitchenAid mixer—the Professional 600. I was getting married at the time, did a lot of research, and truly believed this was the right choice for me. I wanted something that would last, and I trusted the KitchenAid name. What I didn’t realize back then is that the bowl size I wanted also came in a tilt-head option. I grew up using tilt-head KitchenAid mixers, and had I known, I would have chosen that style instead without hesitation. I use my KitchenAid regularly and have for the past decade, but every single time I pull it out, I regret buying this specific model. The Professional 600 is not designed for the basic, everyday baker. It’s built for large-batch baking and heavy-duty use. For standard recipe sizes, it’s simply too powerful and poorly suited. Typical cookie, cake, or bread recipes are too small for this mixer. The attachments don’t reach the dough properly, the bowl feels oversized, and there’s a clear design flaw where ingredients don’t incorporate unless you overmix. You either have to scrape constantly or run the mixer longer than you should—leading to overmixed doughs and baked goods that suffer as a result. Even with regular use, this mixer has never felt like the right fit for my kitchen. It’s heavy-duty to a fault, and not practical for everyday baking. While it may be great for someone who frequently bakes in large quantities, it’s not ideal for the average home baker making standard-sized recipes. If I could go back, I would absolutely choose a tilt-head model that’s better suited for everyday use. This mixer works, but after 10 years, I can confidently say it’s not the right design for how most people actually bake at home
