This is a nice place setting. It is adaptable to any style, it's classic but not old-fashioned. The plates are on the larger size so make sure they'll fit in your cabinet and dishwasher.

I purchased a few of these sets to go with my original opal innocence carved set. It seems that there is a slight difference in quality and appearance from the original version, but overall matches and looks durable. Love the look and pattern as it dresses up perfectly for holidays but is also casual enough for daily use.

Opal Innocence Carved place setting by Lenox is perfect! It can be dressed up for a formal dinner or can be used as your day-to-day dishes. The bowl is deep and the mug is substantial. Both plates have a raised side to help keep your portions limited to the center. They do not get hot in the microwave and clean up well in the dishwasher. I love the fact that there are so many pieces to build and compliment the basic place setting. You can’t go wrong with Lenox.

Look nice in my China cabinets

I wanted the Opal Innocence china for my everyday dishes, but since it has platinum accents, it cannot go in the microwave. On the other hand, Opal Innocence Carved is styled after the Opal Innocence, but its design is raised, and there are no platinum accents. Perfect solution. The dishes are beautiful--substantial, and in the shapes I especially like (the mug is graceful, yet sturdy, and the bowls aren't too shallow, etc.) I am ecstatic about these everyday dishes!
