These bowls are sturdy and seal well. The lids fit snug which means, be careful... don't drop the bowl. It's glass.

These containers are attractive and sturdy. It's a good thing they're sturdy, because every time I open one, I wind up flinging it across the room while attempting to remove the lid. I wish I'd read the reviews more carefully before I purchased these, or that I'd tried them out sooner. There was mention of the lids being nearly impossible to remove -- or impossible to remove without a struggle and flying containers. I didn't use them when I first received them because our almost 40-year-old kitchen was being updated, so I put them aside for a while. By the time I finally used them, it was too late to return them. If you're looking for glass storage containers with lids, don't get these; if you want some nice glass bowls of different sizes and you don't mind paying for lids you'll wind up tossing out, these are perfect!

Nice set but lid is difficult to remove..

I am disappointed in this set. The lids are very difficult to open making them not very desirable for storing food. I will likely be donating these and getting some that are easier to use.

There quality is very nice and well made
