Heavy and solid. Doesn't hold much water though. Works exactly as described. I like to add cloves and cinnamon sticks!

No matter what you put in the steamer, potpourri, just water, and or spices, everything turns black! The idea of it is great, but it’s raw cast iron, no finish. My first time with a wood stove and a steamer. For me it’s the price of an education. DO NOT PURCHASE, It’s gross!

This product was supposed to be rust resistant but I have rust all over the inside and some on the lid and outside

Only had it a few days. So far so good.
