Casserole 2 H avec couvercle Glamour Stone en acier inoxydable

I have a few pieces of cookware by Mepra, and I was not disappointed in this medium size soup and casserole pot. First off, my other soup pots are quite large whereas this one is the perfect size for cooking for two or even one. It’s extremely well made with a sturdy lid which fits tight and nice large handles for easing carrying. It distributes the heat evenly, and clean up is a breeze with the non-stick surface. This pot will be a nice addition to my cookware collection.

Let’s start with the positives. The mirror finish is very nice. The side handles give the pot a high design look. The interior finish seems to be durable. The manufacturer says it is dishwasher and metal utensil safe. But let’s address the elephant in the room - the price. Is this one pot worth the price of a full set of cookware? Is this line somehow that much better than other brands of cookware? Maybe a chef will see something I am missing. I didn’t notice better food texture or better cook times when I used this pot. It seems pretty much the same as any of my other much less expensive pots. I wanted to try this to see if there would be some huge improvement over regular cookware but to my ordinary culinary skills and experience, there is no difference. For the price of this line, you could have several sets of ordinary cookware and your meals will be just as tasty.

The is a beautifully designed pot, that mid-size pot for when you need something bigger than the small pot but not the giant stock pot. Great for a pound of pasta or big pot of sauce. It's not too heavy, the lid is a good weight as well, and fits snugly. I can't speak to the non-stick feature but at this price point, I'll assume it will last forever as long as you use non-metal utensils. The only thing I don't love are the handles, they just seem a bit large and awkward looking. Small quibble, but not a fan of the Dumbo ear handles.

I had a hard time taking pictures, because the outside of the pot is super shiny and acted as a mirror and I didn’t want my reflection in the picture. I loved that the pot was a perfect size. It was lightweight and the inside is a nonstick material. Only issue I have is that the lid handle isn’t insulated so I know I’m going to burn my hands removing the lid. I also found that it’s so shiny, it gets water spots easily, but overall very happy with it. Would definitely recommend it.

The pot is beautiful, heavy and lined in stone. I used the salt box for perspective. This would be wonderful for a long cooking sauce, meatloaf tonight not spaghetti. I would definitely use wood or plastic spoons. Cant wait to try it.
