DO NOT ORDER FROM WAYFAIR I ordered this knife and it showed as shipped along with another knife I purchased. When I called customer service to inquire about my missing knife I was told I needed to wait 3 days before they would do anything about it. This is a terrible policy and clearly shows they can't run an order-tracking system. It's also quite clear they don't care if people get what they order online since they can't even tell me where the item I paid for is or when it might arrive. I suggest you do not do business with Wayfair if you want to receive your items. I know I will never do business with them again.

In this line, the best of East and West cutlery tradition merge under the advisory of the world renowned Chef, Masaharu Morimoto. This knife marries Japanese aesthetics and razor-like sharpness with German manufacturing ingenuity. The proprietary steel was created to keep the blade light and strong so it can handle the sharp edge that Japanese chefs expect. And for a serrated edge, the integrity of the steel is critical; you won't need to sharpen this knife, pretty much ever. Just use it as directed and it will last a very, very long time. A special handle was created using materials that will meet the needs of a professional – it must feel good and true after hours and hours of work; and it must look good, appropriate for a chef, or aspiring chef. This knife medium to lighter in weight; lifetime quality. It will hold its edge and will sharpen beautifully. I strongly recommend hand-washing.

This is a great bread knife! The serrated blade is very sharp and doesn’t leave and ton of crumbs. Plus you can use it for so much more, large fruit with thick skin, vegetables, subs and sandwiches!

I love this 9.5 inch bread knife. It is the perfect knife for cutting through tough breads with such ease. I love to use this to cut up my baguette. It is so easy! This line is beautiful. It is a great mixture of Western and Eastern techniques. The three riveted handle is very comfortable and balanced. The blade is extremely sharp yet durable.
