I ordered this Electric Rice Cooker, and I never owned one before. I did not know how to use it. But once I read the instructions, I decided to try it. The first thing I cooked was with chicken. It cooked under 20 minutes, and it came out perfect. Not too big to cook for a lot of people but enough for about 3 people. I was very satisfied.

This looks perfect size for a family. There were choices of colors. I can’t wait to try it when my family comes in town for the holidays. Instructions seem pretty straightforward and easy. It came well packaged. Will update after I use it.

We eat a lot of rice, and I thought this might be a smart thing to have. It is perfect for making rice for just two people and can even make enough for a family of 5 - depending on how much rice you consume. The cooker comes with everything you need, even a little recipe book. The only issue is that the recipe and instruction booklets only talk about white rice and not brown, wild, or blends. The first time I used the rice cooker was with a royal rice blend consisting of red, brown, wild, and basmati rices. I was honestly not impressed with the way it cooked and had to extend the cooking time. I felt I could have done better on the stove. Fast forward, and using white rice, it came out PERFECT! My partner even said it was better than when cooked on the stove. After a few uses, I realized the brown rice blend was more of a learning curve, and I used too much liquid. The warm feature is great for ensuring the rice is hot while you finish cooking the rest of your meal, and if the rice looks a little too dry, just add a small amount of water to it. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because it does not have an onoff switch, so it is on when you plug it in and wont turn off until it is unplugged. Also, the first time you use it, a terrible, almost chemical smell emits from it. That was disconcerting, but it was no longer an issue after the first use. Just be prepared for it on the first use. With that said, it cools down quickly, and the cooker dish is truly NON- stick! No burnt, crusty, caked on rice with this cooker! Cleaning is a breeze and requires little to no elbow grease. Everything can be nestled into the cooker for easy storage, and it takes up minimal counter space. If you love rice and only need enough for a few people, this might just be the thing for you. All in all, I am happy with it, and it will be getting a lot of use!
