Although it looks fine, it does have a very small "chip" in the over layer of the surface. Can see the lower surface through the defect. Out of the three mugs, this is the only defect

I bought these for Christmas gifts for friends who vacation in Hawaii. They were very surprised with the heat reveal and use the mugs all the time. They love them. I was so pleased that I have purchased many more similar heat reveal mugs here.
