(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I received this Dutch oven free from Napoleon for testing purposes. Once I took it out of the box I knew it was a good fit with what I had planned to make that day. I made a stove top pot roast and it turned out wonderful! I seared the roast first and then added the vegetables to sauté. Added the sauce and liquid and forgot about it for 2.5 hrs and it came out so tender. I was surprised as I never made pot roast on stove top. It was so easy to work with and clean up was a breeze with soap and water and with very little scrubbing. I can’t wait to use the lid on the bbq and grill salmon and bake bread in it.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I am happy to have received the Cast Iron Dutch Oven free from Napoleon for testing purposes. Upon unpackaging the Dutch oven I was impressed with the weight, overall quality, and design of the product. There were no instructions included which would have been helpful in preparing the cast iron pot. Cast iron requires seasoning in order to maintain its finish and aid in giving it its not stick properties. While I was able to find this information on Napoleons web site it would have been helpful to have instruction's included or a QR Code that would connect to the Napoleon link. My menu choice for my inaugural testing was a pork shoulder roast prepared on my Napoleon Prestige BBQ. As the lid that also doubles as a frying pan I placed it directly on my BBQ cooking grills on high heat in order to brown my roast prior to putting it in the pot for slow roasting. This worked out perfectly. From there I put the pot directly on the BBQ grill, added the meat, put the lid on and roasted it on low indirect heat for six hours. The pork ended up cooked to perfection, delicious and fork tender. Cleanup was super easy using just dish soap and water with very little scrubbing required. I found this Dutch Oven perfectly suited for BBQ cooking and I feel that it would work equally as well in the oven or on a fire pit. I am anxiously awaiting camping season in order to test this out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this cast iron dutch oven as member of the Napoleon product testing team, and I was a bit nervous since I had never used a dutch oven of any sort. I researched online how to season it as well as recipe ideas. My initial nervousness turned to excitement as I explored the many recipes available on the internet. After the seasoning process, I decided to start by using a simple sourdough bread recipe that only required 4 ingredients and an oven. I had never baked bread in my life, but the final results were amazing and delicious (pictures provided) and I intend to make the sourdough bread again. I wish I would've had this dutch oven early on in the pandemic when the entire world seemed to take up bread baking! Next up, is to use this cast iron dutch oven to make a batch of my famous chili!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After receiving this item I fell completely in love with it! For my first use I made pulled pork and cooked it on my Napoleon Phantom grill. I left it on low heat for a couple hours and boy did this meat come out great! The cast iron really retained its heat so evenly and perfect that I was very impressed. Also this dutch oven is built like a tank! I'm sure if I season it correctly after each use that this will last a lifetime. I can't wait to try it out over a campfire when me and my wife go camping!
