These pans are well-constructed of solid material. It will not rust like the cheap pans I had purchased locally. You have to follow the directions by not cooking with acidic ingredients such as tomatoes. The surface of aluminum can pit. Also, the directions say that it will lose its bright shine after washing in a dish washer.

Very good cake pan, material looks good.
