I have a mother in law that seems to “have everything “, so it makes it very difficult to buy gifts for her for Christmas. I ran across this beautiful looking bamboo bread knife and knowing she loves to cook and bake bread I figured that this might be ideal for her. I was a little suspect when I held the knife, it is VERY light, not sure how it might handle a loaf of sourdough bread. I also noticed that the teeth were EXTREMELY sharp, so I thought I would give it a try. BREEZES through the bread so effortlessly! It’s great! I’m sure it will make a wonderful gift.

I wanted to love this. It seemed a perfect piece that would fit in great with my wooden utensil set. That much it does. It is only mediocre at bread cutting though. I had high hopes it would be an improvement over my bladed bread knives. It does not do very well on soft bread. Does okay on crusty, just out of the oven bread. I have not tried it on hard breads. Perhaps that is where it shines. Otherwise there is nothing special about it except that it is wood. You are better off with your blades on your bread knives.

This knife is AWESOME!! I was very skeptical when purchasing, but very pleasantly surprised!! I have used it several times to cut hard crust bread and it really does the job! The serrations haven’t dulled one bit! Not only is this knife functional, but it’s beautiful! I’ve gotten many compliments on it! Definitely a conversation piece!

This is a fun, stylish way to cut your crusty bread. It’s lightweight and surprisingly sharp for a bamboo knife. I was able to easily slice my home baked baguettes. Would make a nice hostess gift, along with a loaf of bread this holiday season.

This bread knife is great. I have tried alot of bread knives and they ruin the bread or get dull quickly. This one stays soft and easily cuts all textures of bread. I use it alot to slice open bagels!
