The placemats arrived today and they are a gorgeous color, however the placemats have a strong, toxic smell. I am sad because I will need to return these. UPDATED: Wayfair replaced the defective placemats. Not only are these beautiful on the table, they protect nicely. I am very happy and changed the rating from one star to five.

I really like the sturdiness of these mats, easy to clean. The only thing that stops me from giving them a 5 is the photo is off. The back ground on the computer looks white or off white, but when I received them, it's actually a very pale green. Still works, really would of preferred a brighter back ground.
