I got this to bake sourdough bread in. I have mostly used an enameled dutch oven but wanted another option to make it easier to bake multiple loaves at the same time. I also thought being able to invert this and bake on the lid might make it easier to insert the dough into the hot pan. I have baked one loaf and am very happy with the results. It isn't any better than the dutch oven but I was able to do it on the lid and removing the pan part way through cooking wasn't a problem. This is definitely a better deal than buying another enameled dutch oven and I can use little or maybe even no parchment paper.

Bought it to make bread, wanted something that could hold 2 boules at a time or do a long batard. It works great! Also love that the top is flat so I can invert it to bake. Very happy with this cast iron purchase.

Havent used it yet. Waiting for some thick short ribs to cook in it. Heavy,in a good way, but the size is perfect.
