Portmeirion items are always lovely. But I was quite disappointed that Wayfair chose to send this item without the usual Portmeirion box in which they package their products so beautifully. Rather, it came wrapped only in a bit of bubble wrap, and there were actually unsightly marks on the metal shaft. I even wonder if it is a second. This was meant to be a gift, but I can't present it like this, without the box and looking worse for wear. I don't think I'll buy Portmeirion through Wayfair again.
