Louche de jardin Portmeirion

Just what I needed for family dinners. Beautifully made.

Really cute!! It would be nice if it had a pouring spout shape somewhere on it but it works well for a basic ladle. The ceramic handle doesn’t get hot when the ladle is sitting in a hot pot of soup. It had a tiny imperfection in the stainless steel scoop but still looks great.

Pretty but larger than expected.

Portmeirion items are always lovely. But I was quite disappointed that Wayfair chose to send this item without the usual Portmeirion box in which they package their products so beautifully. Rather, it came wrapped only in a bit of bubble wrap, and there was actually unsightly abrasion on the ceramic handle and sloppy glue evident at the join with the shaft. I even wonder if it is a second. This was meant to be a gift, but I can't present it like this, without the box and looking worse for wear. I don't think I'll buy Portmeirion through Wayfair again.
