Very solid! We were able to attach it to the side of the cabinet and create a space for our bottles without taking up a lot of room. You can decide which direction they lie by the way you put it together. We used two of them.

I ordered three racks . Two were good and Jen we put them together one wasn't so great they had to be bent in ordered for the bottles to sit properly . Little disappointing because when they go up on the wall I'll notice which one isn't properly sitting right. We are going up North so no time to return it . Then order another one. I also ordered three smaller ones that were perfect . So one wasn't just bad workmanship.
