Poorly designed magnet. It will not let go and does cause a mess. Garbage product. Spend your money elsewhere.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This can opener does the job very easily. It is simple to use. Once you position the can correctly, it clamp on in the right position then it is up hill from there. Once you put down the lever and it punctures the top of the can it automatically does what it is suppose to. Once done you grab the can and the lid stays connect to the magnet. I had different size cans I had to open and it was no problem. Plus it within budget. The can opener does not take up much space at all. I am happy with this product and I believe you will be as well.
