I took a risk on ordering this...it had only one review up to this point...Overall, I am very pleased. Directions at times were difficult...but I may blame the builder than the directions...I found a few errors in either the instructions or the materials (like, they had small dowel rods or larger ones, and on instruction said to use the large, and the hole was only for the small (or vice versa). Once again, I took the risk on what may be a new item here, but I am very pleased overall. The color is really nice (I got the blue with the white countertops). I will say though, if you have 2 people, to maybe employ both of you to build...there are 4 separate boxes (2 of the large cabinet that go like 7 ft high), and 2 of the regular cabinets). I started on a small cabinet, and while I'm not the most handy dandy person, I've put together enough wayfair stuff to think i know how these work....while for the most part it was all straight forward, there were SO MANY STEPS!!! I think the 1st regular cabinet took me 4 hours (I also made a few mistakes...speaking of, the bottom piece has 3x#11's...but, there is a part, I think #23, that is identical to the 11's, but with different drill holes...DON'T PUT THE 23 IN THE 11 SPOT!!" I had to reverse the steps to remove the #23 from where the #11 was because I got stuck! Again, that was totally my error, but when you're 3-4 hours in after a regular day of work and tired, that was easy to do. Anyway, even though my learning curve improved each one, the large cabinets had roughly 20 more steps (I think the bottom cabinet was 30 or so).
Not everything fit EXACTLY perfectly, but again, I was the one building so I may have made a few mistakes...the drill holes were almost always EXACTLY correct. My problem came with the drawer sliders, and while they don't exactly show you how to remove the one half from the other (I Thought you had to squeeze the screw between one of the holes in order to do it...I later found out no, you just hold the one piece and there is a middle piece you can pull down and it splits the drawer slides out. Again, more my mistake than the product...but I don't want to understate even a well-versed carpenter/builder will take AT LEAST 5+ hours to build this...I was probably closer to 10+ hrs all in.
BUT, I scoured the internet to find a blue (basement) back bar, and finally came across this...it was what I want...when I was done (outside of my own mistakes), it was what I wanted it to look like. It's perfect for a basement bar (which is my goal) and to have a 55'' tv in the middle. I'm not done building everything but when I am, I will add photos. I DO recommend this...I'd give it a 5, except for how long it truly took to build (even as I got better building). Oh, definitely recommend using a electric screwdriver...I used a regular old screwdriver and my hands were tired and sore by the end....electric probably would've cut out my time by at least 1-1.5 hours. Give it a shot!
