the texture of the damask is a nice velvet but the tablecloth itself is very plastic-y

It looks nice but it appears to be faux damask. Only one side carries the design and is not reversible. Still looks good.

I was very disappointed with the fabric. It is a thin cheap looking satin with a flocked damask pattern. I had expected a damask pattern woven into fabric, not a raised flocking.
