I ordered two for each of my daughter’s for Christmas. Can’t wait to give them as presents. I am very happy with looks of the basket and terra cotta warming plate.

I have always wanted a bread warmer, and when I saw this one on Wayfair, I had to buy it. It is perfect. Just the right size for dinner rolls and it looks absolutely beautiful on the table. Perfect.

I love this bread warmer basket. It’s wonderful for a house warming gift or maybe just something for me. There were several terracotta stones and basket shapes to choose from. It took me awhile to decide on which pattern to select. But I’m happy with the oval basket and bird. As usual the box came quickly from Wayfair and was very well packaged ensuring that the stone was not damaged in shipping. The basket itself is a soft but sturdy weave. The terracotta stone is a light pinkish color. The raised design of a dove with branches and surrounded by a detailed edging is outlined in white. The stone itself is quite substantial and should withstand normal wear and tear. But don’t drop it on the floor. The bread warmer comes with clear instructions. The stone should be rinsed before first use and rinsed thereafter. NOT dishwasher safe. The stone can be heated in the oven at 350oF for 5-10 minutes which might coincide with making some brown and serve rolls. Or you can warm the stone in the microwave for 2-4 minutes on high. Either way remember to put a cloth napkin under the stone before placing it in the basket. It states that it will keep bread warm for about 40 minutes. I performed a quick unscientific study to test the warmth over time. I heated the stone for two minutes in the microwave and put warm rolls in the basket with a napkin covering. I checked them at 10, 20, 30, & 40 minutes. The stone and rolls were quite warm at 10 minutes. At 20 minutes the rolls were still warm but the stone was starting to lose some heat around the periphery of the stone. By 30 minutes the stone had lost much of it’s original heat around the periphery but the center was warm to the touch and the rolls were still warm. At 40 minutes I concluded my test with the rolls still slightly warm to the touch. Heating the stone for a longer period would probably extend its warming capacity. I also noticed that the rolls began to stick a little on the stone and dry out as time went by.

So very pretty...I have been wanting one of these for a while now, and this one is perfect. Just the right size for a loaf of homemade bread...might have to halve an Italian or French loaf. The dove pattern is beautiful and will look beautiful on my table.
