This is my second Salton tea kettle. First one we have been using for a few years already and it's still working without any problem. Unfortunately, knob on the top of the lead fell off from our constant use and it became inconvenient to fill kettle with water. I hope new one is going to serve us as long as a previous.

Love this particular model. Could not find it anywhere else.

DO NOT BUY this kettle ! I was happy with it at 1st, and treated it with great care, but after about 10-15 uses, it won't heat water any more. Light & numbers come on but no heating function. Supposedly there is a warranty, however, you have to pay your own postage - which is so expensive , it makes more sense to start boiling your water on the stove. Very, very disappointed.
