The salad plates that I ordered are simple and very functional. I wanted a "Spring" type theme for a March gathering and needed at least 12 salad plates. The cost was a factor for my decision on the salad plates.

These go well with the set I purchased as our Christmas set. They have a beautiful green rim around it and they are heavy as are the plates we purchased for dinner. Would shop at Wayfair again for these kind of pieces. They are very nice for dessert or appetizers. They would not hold a big salad. You might be able to use them as a bread plate.
