This bowl is a beautiful example of quality white porcelain from Germany compared with the cheap Chinese stuff that has flooded the market. This isn't even the top of the line in the Villeroy and Boch product line but it is a nice rich white color and the glaze is perfect. The bowl is bigger than I thought it was going to be but it is a nice shape to use as a serving bowl for a family. I'd say it easily holds 6 cups of food, maybe more if mounded up. It also serves as a popcorn bowl or as a medium size salad bowl. I got it on sale, a good deal for this product.
