This is indeed very heavyweight. The wood part is beautiful, but the metal parts are also very sturdy which is what you want in a wine opener. I intended to have this as a backup in my car for picnics or camping but this is now my new primary corkscrew and my other one has been demoted.

Very nice quality corkscrew. Has a good weight to it and doesn't feel cheap. The wood inlay makes it look high quality, and I like that the metal part is not overly shiny, and doesn't show fingerprints. Can't wait to try this out. Would make an awesome gift for someone that loves wine.

I’m so excited about this corkscrew. It’s sturdy and heavy in my hand. I’ve had a number of others that were priced comparably but did not hold up. This seems virtually indestructible. Perfect for parties and overzealous boyfriends.
