This dinnerware set is truly embarrassing. Too embarrassing to use for serving a meal to your family, let alone your dinner guests. I purchased the black and taupe-colored set, and the gold rim on the salad plates looks as if it was painted by a toddler. There are imperfections on the handles of each of the mugs as well. After my initial inspection, I ran everything through the dishwasher on the "quick wash" setting and the gold on the rim of the mugs and bowls began to lift/pucker. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement.

Love this set! Tip, if you use potpan felt separators when storing the black plates in your cabinet, one between each, you’ll avoid scratches from the bottom of the plate.

Amazing craftsmanship! The tan plates are darker than I expected but still look great, and the gold rims are the perfect classy touch.
