This thermometer has been a sweet little tool in the kitchen. I only had a manual one and I used this for the ham and turkey for the Easter Sunday meal. Works like a charm. As for the bottle opener, that's a handy addition. I used it for a bottle of beer the other week because I couldn't find our bottle opener in the drawer. Thank goodness I had this tool! Shown here in the photo is my husband using the thermometer to properly heat a frozen chicken wing...which further proves it's easy to use. My husband has many talents, but cooking is not one of them!

I chose this thermometer as a gift for my husband. It powers on immediately when the probe is extended and comes with a handy temperature guide. We have not had a chance to test it when cooking but it picks up the ambient temperature so I am sure it will work with no problems.
