The Kanren steak knife is everything I wanted a steak knife to be, and I am so happy I have the option to buy individually so that I can complete my set of 6! If you loose one, or just want to purchase one, this is a great option. I love the Kanren line for the razor sharpe edge and the curved bolster which improved the grip and adds to the comfort in my hand. The black linen micarta handle feels so luxurious that you will be happy to share at all your dinner gatherings!

German Engineering and Japanese beauty and sharpness! This knife is not only beautiful with its Damascus blade, but its razor sharp, true to Japanese knives. Unlike most Japanese knives, it's made of very durable, chip resistant steel that protects that thin, sharp edge. I love the western style handle that's comfortable and is made of Micarta that has the look and feel of wood, but is as durable as a synthetic material. The curved bolster, an innovative feature of the Zwilling Pro knives, makes it incredibly comfortable in every hand. This is the ideal steak knife with a thin, sharp, fine edge blade that will slice through a piece of meat without tearing, like most serrated blades do. An important function that improves the flavor of your meat.

This beautiful steak knife can be purchased by it self - perfect to add to a collection or replace a lost knife. The core of the blade is made from FC61 and its surrounded by an additional 48 layers of steel which creates a beautiful Damascus pattern. I love that the famous Zwilling curved bolster has been added, it is perfect to hold with a pinch grip, perfect for cutting meat. The handle is made from black linen micarta and fits easily into any hand.

Beautiful fine edged steak knife! This individual knife can be added to your four piece set or used alone. These knives are an exceptional example of German engineering melding with Japanese craftsmanship. Each knife is made from FC 61 steel which is used in razor blades, which speaks to its cutting edge retention, chip resistance and strength. A total of 48 layers of beautiful Damascus steel surround the core. Hand sharpened and honed, each one of these knives are hand crafted by 46 Japanese artists in Seki Japan. The curved bolster enables the whole length of the blade to be used for cutting and chopping and also creates a comfortable grip to ease wrist fatigue. The linen Micarta handle has a gorgeous wood look that feels firm and safe to grip. The impeccable balance, weight, stunning appearance and acute edge makes Kanren a must have knife.

When I saw the damascus design and read about it's function and keeps the blade from corrosion and chipping; such a unique idea & adds beauty to the Kanren collection. The steak knives are super sharp and look so nice when serving steak .
