Don't be misled by the picture like I was. This is only the wooden base for the stropping block. I had to order the leather separately to complete it. What I should have ordered was the combination of block and stropping leather, which is cheaper than the two items purchased separately.

Add the leather strop and you'll be set to complete the sharpening process. Finishing on a leather strop gives your knife a fine polish that makes them crazy sharp. This block has non-skid feet so it will not slide around on your counter.

This is just the block, without the leather. Handy if you have leathers you prefer to use, or if your old block is damaged and you already have a replacement leather. Get the set (#34999-103) if you want it all in one package.
