We really like the flat blade for cutting. We started with a Chef's knife which has a rounded bottom and required rolling the blade down, then we upgraded to a Santoku blade which was flatter but still curved near the tip. I saw this one and had to try it. Completely flat blade like a mini-cleaver. Great for chopping and slicing. Weight balance feels natural and the blade holds it's sharpness so I spend much less time at my bench grinder and leather stropping wheel.

After beating this knife up for some time it still holds and edge with very little maintenance

A gift for my husband. He loves how thin he is able to cut with it.

A nikiri knife has been on my wish list for a few yrs now. This one did not disappoint, I love how it feels in my hand, it makes meal prep a whole lot more enjoyable and I’m eating more veggies because of it. I will be adding more Zwilling knives to my collection.

My wife uses this for almost everything (even though it’s a veg knife). Feels great in the hand and superior cutting from the blade. This is our second one!
