I wanted something that I could wipe off but not look cheap, and these fit the bill. They lie very flat and don’t move around in use, and they have a substantial feel. I liked the oval shape as opposed to the usual square corners as well. The only potential negative concerns colors, the bugaboo of online ordering. I bought three shades: green, mint, and dark blue. I checked the colors on various sites before buying and they were all consistent from site to site. But the online shades for two of these are quite a bit different than the products themselves. Online, the “green" option looks very intensely green/blue or teal, with a lot of black for depth, but the real mat was closer to grass green without a trace of blue, and less intense - not a bad color, but not what I was expecting. The “mint" version is actually what I’d call closer to sage, but with a bit more yellow than most sages, which I expect to be predominantly gray/green. But calling it light olive isn’t right either - the product doesn’t’ have the tan cast I’d expect for an olive. The name “mint” was throwing me off when I ordered (online it didn’t look anything like the mint ice cream color I’d expect with that name), but compared to the online shade shown, the product itself was also lighter in intensity and with yet more yellow..
