I chose this lamp for its simplicity of design, overall size and color. However, the glass shade allows the full brunt of the bulb to show through, creating a harsh glare. If I cannot find a bulb that is soft enough, I will have to return this lovely lamp. The gray shade does not soften the glare.

This lamp is a great size, and I love the quality! The amount of light it gives off is sufficient to be both beautiful and functional. I ordered two for my console table.
