The lamp is pretty but the base color swirls that show in the photo are extremely difficult to see in real life, even in a well-lit room or with the light on. It's pretty but not near as striking as the photo. The shade did exceed my expectations as it is well made and looks great on the dark lamp base.

Nice table lamp. Item is much darker than picture shows especially in a room without much light. Overall good quality.
